As the sun sets join us for a discussion with local experts:

This year’s monsoon was one of the latest (fourth-latest on record), and one of the wettest – with less than one hour of sunlight in Darwin in the last week of January.

So is that it? Have we survived the wet? Or is there more to come? And what impact does all of this rain have for us for the year ahead?

Let those with the local knowledge explain it to you and guide you towards environmental survival in 2018!

  • Laura Boekel – Bureau of Meteorology: A year of severe weather in the Top End.
  • Prof Bart Currie – Menzies School of Health Research: What does the wet impact on infections, like Melioidosis (Nightcliff Gardeners Disease)?
  • Greg Owens – NT Farmers: The importance of the monsoon on local agriculture.
