Dr David Eagling

University Fellow

David Eagling is a Research Coordinator at the Plant Biosecurity Cooperative Research Centre, focusing on project management and opportunities in postharvest grains. David is also Program Leader for the Safeguarding Trade program.

Based in Canberra, David has postgraduate degrees in agriculture (plant pathology) and agribusiness and has held senior roles in research management, extension and commercialisation in both the private and public sector.

He remains actively engaged in research through the supervision of postgraduate students and is working with colleagues and collaborators to deliver impact from the CRC’s research portfolio to Australia’s grain industry. He has been a Visiting Fellow at CDU for 3 years. Over his initial term, Dr Eagling assisted in supervision of Theofransus and Wayan Mudita, supported the application for and implementation of, a National Competitive Grant and is now assisting with stakeholder discussions to develop further work relevant to the Northern Australian Research agenda.
