Postdoctoral Researcher

Kuntal started his career in the field of hospitality marketing (India) followed by retail management (Oman) and institutional marketing (India). After migrating to Australia he worked as finance tutor at a University then shifted to the South Australian Local Councils and worked as senior finance officer/ finance manager for different local councils. After completing his honours, he started his PhD at the Northern Institute, Charles Darwin University.

In 2015 he enrolled into the ANU-CDU Joint PhD program through RegNet, Australian National University (ANU). In 2018-19 he completed his ANU-CDU Joint PhD Program. He is a member of the Institute of Public Accountants (MIPA), Australia, the Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting (CSEAR), University of St Andrews, Scotland, UK and Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ).

Currently Kuntal is an IPA Public Accountant (TAX; BAS & ASIC AGENT) and Director @ Business and IT Worlds Pty Ltd www.businessitworlds.com.

Dr Kuntal founded the AUSTRALIAN CENTRE FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT RESEARCH & INNOVATION - A Research Centre (An Australian Registered Charity Org) www.acsdri.com and also founded South Asian Institute for Sustainable Development (SAISD) www.saisd.org.in to promote sustainable development. He also publishes an open access multi-disciplinary magazine on sustainability – THE BLUE PLANET. The Magazine has both Print [ISSN : 2652 – 7995] ( https://acsdri.com/resources/ ) and Online [ISSN : 2652 – 7987 ] ( https://acsdri.com/blue-planet-online/ ) publications.

Kuntal's research interest and skills : Accounting & Accounting Software Training, Finance, Marketing, Sustainable Development, Sustainability Accounting & Reporting, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Reporting Framework, Accounting Standards & Non-Financial Accounting Standards, Genuine Progress Indicators (GPI), Local Government, Food waste reduction and Low Cost Food waste mitigation strategy and Public Policy Analysis.

Kuntal also made number of Conference Publications, Journal Publications and wrote Accounts Processing  & TAX manual. Kuntal also awarded 2017 Emerging Scholar Award at the 13th International Conference on Environment al, Cultural, Economic & Social Sustainability.
