HIGHER EDUCATION INDIGENOUS MENTOR - Tennant Creek (PDF1.7KB)
- support Indigenous students studying online in Tennant Creek
- work with administrative and Indigenous Tutorial Assistance staff in Tennant Creek
- work with unit-specific teaching staff (often based in Darwin)
- provide computer and academic skills support
- provide literacy and numeracy support
- support two-way learning approaches
- support community engagement
- support the evaluation of the HEPPP with local data collection
- casual position up to 20 hours per week, start date to be confirmed
- days and hours to be co-determined, focussed on student demand
- position can be job-shared
Indigenous people are encouraged to apply
- experience working in a team in a training/education setting
- ability to support others in their learning
- effective oral and written communication skills
- high level of computer skills/digital literacy
- completed or engaging in Higher Education studies
