The College of Nursing and Midwifery has established a partnership with Shandong University School of Nursing from China.
On November 14, College executives met with the Dean of School and Director of International Affairs at the Shandong University School of Nursing to discuss the collaboration. College Associate Deans, Associate Professor Maree Duddle and Dr Benjamin Tan, hosted the visitors in CDU Sydney campus and discussed the opportunity of bringing nursing students at Shandong University for a 4-week short-term visit to CDU Casuarina Campus in 2020.
“Shandong University School of Nursing is one of the top 5 nursing schools in China with a strong profile in nursing education and research. We are pleased to establish a partnership with Shandong University that will benefit staff and students at both sides” said Dr Tan.
The College will accept undergraduate and postgraduate students from Shandong University for a short-term visit to Darwin in 2020, including visitation to various healthcare facilities and on-campus classroom and simulation block activities. There will also be opportunities for College academics to visit Shandong University to develop collaborative projects in nursing education and research.
