Mail Management

It is the responsibility of Records and Archives to efficiently and effectively manage the university's incoming and outgoing mail.

All incoming mail, with the exception of courier service articles, is received at the mail area of Records and Archives, Orange 2, Casuarina campus. On receipt, the mail is sorted into the appropriate faculty and cost centre pigeon holes.

All outgoing mail is dispatched from the mail area of Records and Archives. Australia Post and courier service procedures and contracts are closely monitored to achieve maximum efficiencies and cost effectiveness. View the Charles Darwin University courier timetable (.pdf, 13.5KB).

Records and Archives endeavours to keep faculties and cost centres informed in mail dispatch to achieve maximum benefits.

A customs declaration is required for all international TNT satchels containing any non-documents (eg: CD's, films, books). Please note, three copies plus the original customs declaration form must be included with the consignment note and the value of the consignment must be noted on the form.
