Higher Degree by Research Awards

To acknowledge and to award the research impact of our research candidates, supervisors and administrators within CDU, we are introducing the inaugural Higher Degree by Research (HDR) awards for 2021.

The six categories for this year are:

  • Excellence in HDR Supervision
  • Excellence in Industry Engagement of Graduate Research
  • Excellence in Research that Benefits Communities
  • Outstanding HDR Candidate: Contribution to CDU
  • Outstanding HDR Candidate: Publication and Communication
  • Outstanding Researcher Administrator Award

Research and Innovation, on behalf of the Deputy Vice Chancellor Research and Innovation (DVCRI), will call for expression of interest (EOI)  nominations on 1 July 2021. The awards relate to excellence during the last year; however, Excellence in HDR Supervision corresponds to activities during the last three years.

The Committee will assess all submitted EOI’s on behalf of the DVCRI with successful candidates to be advised shortly thereafter. Identified nominees will be invited to submit a 500-word formal nomination to the Committee by a determined date.  Awards will be presented during the HDR Conference in early September.

Nominations open on 1 July 2021
