Professor Jai Singh

Professor Jai Singh, AM is the Emeritus Professor of Physics at the Charles Darwin University (CDU), Darwin, Australia and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Physics.  He holds Ph. D. from IIT Delhi, India and worked as a research fellow in Marburg, Germany and Southampton, UK; senior Max Planck fellow in Mülheim, Germany, Research Fellow in Research School of Chemistry, ANU, Australia and Senior Teaching Fellow in National University of Singapore.

While working at CDU, he has held several visiting fellowships, including the Max Planck Institute (Germany), Visiting Professor  Canada and USA, JSPS Fellow (Japan), and Guest Professor (Denmark).

His research interests are in condensed-matter theory, covering areas of excitonic processes in crystalline andamorphous semiconductors, nanostructures and designing of organic and inorganic solar cells and organic light emitting diodes.

He has written two books, edited five books and five conference proceedings, and published more than 250 research papers.
