Professor David Young

Our research involves the synthesis of new materials for electronic and biological applications. This includes new electrically conducting polymers and inorganic materials that can be used to convert waste heat into electrical energy and new porous materials that can sense pollutants in water.

We also make antibacterial materials for use in health care products and new antioxidant formulations for use in functional foods and sunscreens.
