Purpose: To financially support an international student who may be interested in assisting and coaching the donors on matters that are relevant to other International students. This scholarship will help the recipient gain leadership experience while enhancing the experience of CDU’s international students.

Special conditions: As a requirement of this scholarship, the successful recipient will gather information related to the concerns and ideas of other international students. These findings are to be discussed and shared with the Scholarship donors throughout the year. Hours dedicated to student engagement will be flexible and less than 100 hours over the period of scholarship support.
- Must be classified as an International student
- Must be enrolled in a Higher Education course and completed at least 80 credit points
- Must be studying internally in the Casuarina or Waterfront campus
Your written statement must address each of the selection criteria in order to rank in the selection process.
Demonstrate knowledge, skills or experience in a field or discipline that could be applied to assist other international students
Demonstrate experience in helping other people or communities
Demonstrate how this scholarship will be beneficial to you
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English with university students and staff
- Learned a second language later in life, after 5 years old

Past and present CDU students do not need to upload academic transcripts. All other applicants are strongly advised to submit proof of previous academic performance (from high school or other universities) to support your application.
Acknowledgement of receipt
After pressing submit of the application form, you will immediately receive an automatic reply acknowledging receipt of your application. Within 3 business days you will receive a confirmation email from the scholarships office which will inform you that either you:
- Meet the eligibility criteria and will be submitted to the panel for ranking of your selection criteria responses, or;
- Are required to submit further documentation in order to progress your application to the assessment stage.
Assessment of applications
Your application will be assessed by a selection committee. If the scholarship includes a work placement you may be required to attend an interview with the workplace employer.
Assessments are usually completed by the end of April for Semester 1 and the end of August for Semester 2.
