Dr Maree Duddle

Maree Duddle, RN, BN, Master of Health Law, Master of Nursing (Hons, Class I), PhD (Sydney)

Maree is currently Associate Dean, Academic in the College of Nursing and Midwifery at Charles Darwin University. Maree has worked at five universities in her 20-year academic career, beginning at the University of Sydney. Prior to her academic work Maree was a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Neurosurgery.

In her academic roles Maree has held several leadership positions, been actively involved in curriculum development and renewal and has taught undergraduate, postgraduate and graduate entry students in nursing, midwifery, paramedicine and health management both in Australia and off shore in Singapore and Malaysia.

Maree has also worked in the aged care industry as an Organisational Development and Research Consultant. Maree has a long-standing interest in workplace culture and as part of her PhD developed and tested a tool to measure the relational environment of the workplace, this tool has been used in research in the UK, US and Australia. Maree is an experienced Honours and Masters by Research supervisor.

Maree has varied interests across politics, governance and sociology and research interests in collegiality, professional relationships as well as issues at the interface of nursing and the law.
