Commonwealth supported places
Commonwealth Supported places are available in this course to students who meet one of the following residency requirements:
(a) Australian Citizenship; or
(b) a New Zealand citizen or a permanent resident visa holder who will be resident within Australia for the duration of the unit.

International tuition fees
The annual tuition fee for full time study of 80 credit points (1.0 EFTSL) for commencing students in 2019 is AUD $29,520.00.
These fees are subject to annual increases each year of your study, effective at the start of each calendar year.

Course structure
The course structure consists of a major research project, a research writing unit, an elective coursework unit relevant to the discipline and training activities (hurdle assessments) individually selected to meet the needs of each student.
A candidate must successfully complete units totalling 80 credit points as detailed below. All units are valued at 10 credit points unless otherwise indicated.

Specialist Elective/Major units totalling 70 credit points selected from the units listed below.
Note: Students take the Honours Thesis units required to make up the correct credit point load for the semester. The same unit may be taken more than once in the course but not in the same semester. Clinical Science This specialisation centres on the study of all living organisms and inanimate natural objects through experiment, observation and deduction relation to physical and natural sciences such as chemical and biological sciences including boichemistry, cell biology, human biology and genetics. Environmental Science This specialisation centres on the study of environmental science including the relationships between living organisms and the natural, rural, industrial and urban environments. It includes the study of the impact humans have upon the natural environment. Health (excluding Nursing and Midwifery) This specialisation centres on public health including the promotion of health and the prevention of disease, premature death and disease-induced discomfort and disability in the population. It also involves developing an understanding of environmental factors affecting health. This may include occupational health and safety, environmental health, indigenous health, community health and epidemiology. Information Technology This specialisation centres on information systems, computer languages, computational theory as applied to information technology and computer networks. Nursing and Midwifery This specialisation centres on research in the principles and practices of providing general and specialised preventative, curative, rehabilitative and palliative care to individuals and groups. It includes the study of the structure and function of the human body and mind, the restoration and maintenance of health, pain control, human behaviour and nursing ethics. General Science |
