VTP300 Talent Acquisition and Management

This short course would suit those looking to change their career or explore new employment opportunities and those wanting to study a short course as a pathway into a full qualification in Human Resources (HR).

Content covers foundational units in the HR life cycle and provides theory and practice in the work HR practitioners do.

Delivery and assessment resources are accessed via CDUs online learning platform Learnline. Delivery will incorporate online tutorials with study sessions to be conducted at the CDU Waterfront Campus. Assessment will include theory and practical components including group work and role plays.

Entry requirements

You must:

  • be 18 years or older; and
  • not be attending secondary school; and
  • be able to demonstrate appropriate language, literacy, and numeracy skills and knowledge to undertake this course. This is demonstrated if you have completed a qualification deemed equivalent to an Australian Year 11 or higher, Australian Certificate III or higher, or by completing a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) assessment.

To be eligible for an NT Government funded place you must be:

  • a Northern Territory resident; and
  • an Australian citizen, permanent Australian resident or a New Zealand citizen who has resided in Australia for a minimum of six months


To be eligible for an NT Government funded place you must be:

  • a resident of the Northern Territory; and
  • a temporary visa holder who:
    • does not have work or study restrictions
    • has a valid visa for the duration of the training, allowing for the total volume of learning required to achieve the qualification, including supervised and unsupervised training and study
    • is not the primary provisional visa holder of a skilled, business innovation and investment, student, work or holiday visa identified on the Department of Home Affairs website.

Course structure

To achieve the vocational training program VTP300 - Talent Acquisition and Management a total of three (3) units of competency must be completed as listed below.

Students will be issued with a Statement of Attainment upon successful completion.
