Overview
Achieving a Voice will explain how Australia reached the point of a referendum on the Voice to Parliament and how a referendum works. Achieving a Voice will be of value to people who have never voted in a referendum and for anyone interested in the relevant Australian history giving rise to the referendum.
This online course consists of 12 lectures over six weeks (2 x 1-hour lectures per week).
This course will be of value to:
- people who have never voted in a referendum;
- anyone interested in the relevant Australian history giving rise to the referendum;
- anyone who is confused by conflicting information in the media; and
- civics and citizenship secondary teachers.
This course will be delivered between 12th June 2023 and 21st July 2023 - two one-hour lectures per week over six weeks.

There are no specific entry requirements however eligibility to vote in Australian elections is desirable. This short course is available to anyone seeking to understand the issues involved in the referendum, which could include international students or citizens.
