Purpose

To update the Student Course Attempt and Student Unit Attempt records of Approved Graduands

This job updates the data of approved graduands’ records. These are graduands’ records that have been approved via the ‘Evaluate Graduands’ and ‘Automatic Approval’ jobs (These will have a status that is mapped to a system graduation evaluation status of APPROVED).

The job updates the following details:

• Course Attempt Status (STUDENT_COURSE_ATTEMPT.COURSE_ATTEMPT_STATUS) is set to COMPLETE.
• Course completion indicator (STUDENT_COURSE_ATTEMPT.COURSE_RQRMNT_COMPLETE_IND) is set to Y.
• The Course Completion Date (STUDENT_COURSE_ATTEMPT.COURSE_RQRMNTS_COMPLETE_DT) is updated to the Completion Date parameter value.
• Completion Source (STUDENT_COURSE_ATTEMPT.S_COMPLETED_SOURCE_TYPE) is set to SYSTEM.

If there are approved Unit Set outcomes are associated with such student course attempts; then the following details are updated:

• Unit Set Completion indicator (STUDENT_UNIT_SET_ATTEMPT.RQRMNTS_COMPLETE_IND) is set to Y.
• Requirements Complete Date is updated with System Date (STUDENT_UNIT_SET_ATTEMPT.RQRMNTS_COMPLETE_DT) is updated to the Completion Date parameter value.
• Completed Source Type (STUDENT_UNIT_SET_ATTEMPT.S_COMPLETED_SOURCE_TYPE) is set to SYSTEM.

If there are any unapproved Unit Set outcomes are associated with such student course attempts; then the following details are updated:

• Unit Set End Date (STUDENT_UNIT_SET_ATTEMPT.END_DT) is set to Completion Date parameter value.
  

The job can be scheduled to run immediately or at some later time.
This job stores the details of who is running the job along with when the job is run. (See JBSF5300)

The run log includes the following details:

• Number of Potential Graduand records completed
• Number of Potential Graduand records skipped – non-matching Outcome Instance Org Unit(s)
  

This job is accessed from the main menu.

The Automated Completion block contains:

Parameters Tab

• Graduation period (LOV)
• Course Code
• Organisational Unit (LOV)

• Button

  • Find Course (ADMF1220)
  • Date picker

Rule/Notes:

Potential Graduands will be auto-completed only if all their Outcome Instance Org Units match the entered Org Unit (+/- wild characters) or any of its descendants.
If a potential graduand has multiple Org Units and one or more do not match the entered Org Unit (or descendants), a warning will be logged, the potential graduand skipped and processing continued.
