Purpose

To record, view and maintain Promotional Discounts applied to a Student Course Attempt.

Discounts reduce the tuition fees paid by a student by the percentage recorded.
This form is used to display and maintain Promotional Discount records applied to a Student Course Attempt.

Discounts can be claimed in Applicant Portal or Agent Applicant Portal. They can also be recorded for an Admission Application in ADMW1000.
A Discount may then be assigned to an SCA during pre-enrolment or it may be created directly in this form after the SCA has been created.

ENRF3260 is accessed in context for an SCA, by clicking on the Discount button for the Fee Category T-List item for a student course attempt in ENRF3000.

The Student Course Attempt block contains:

• Person ID
• Sex
• Date of Birth
• Course Attempt Status
• Course Version

The Student Course Attempt Promotional Discount block contains:

• Include Deleted Items check box
• Promotional Discount ID
• %
• Start Date
• End Date
• Description
• Deletion date

Rules/Notes:

You have the option to include logically deleted records when querying records in this form. To display deleted discount records, select the Include Deleted Items check box and then requery.

Student Course Attempt Promotional Discounts that are not logically deleted cannot have overlapping start and end dates

The End Date cannot be before the Start Date.

• Display the required Student Course Attempt in ENRF3000.
• Select the Fee Category T-List item.
• Click on the Discount button to display ENRF3260.
• Select the Promotional Discount ID.
• Record the Start Date.
• Record an End Date if required.
• Click on the Save button.

The Percentage field is populated with the value recorded for the Promotional Discount percentage recorded in FINW0100.
A Promotion Discount recorded in ENRF3260 will be used in fee assessment processes for the SCA.

Promotional Discounts records can also be created during pre-enrolment if they are updated via Applicant Portal, Agent Applicant Portal or in ADMW1000.

If an undeleted Promotion Discount record already exists in this form, the new Promotion Discount cannot have overlapping start/ end dates.

• Display the required Student Course Attempt in ENRF3000.
• Select the Fee Category T-List item.
• Select on the Discount button to display ENRF3260.
• Select the Promotional Discount ID record to be deleted.
• Click on the Delete toolbar icon.

Rules/Notes:

When Promotional Discount records are be deleted, they are logically deleted but can be redisplayed by selecting the Include Deleted Items check box and requerying.

When an SCA Promotional Discount record is logically deleted, if it has a corresponding CLAIMED Discount record (in FINW1000), then the status of that record will be changed to REVOKED.
