ENRF0120 - Maintain Country Codes

This form is used to record and maintain the institution-defined set of Country Codes. These map to Government Country codes, but provide for greater flexibility with the ability to subdivide Government Codes and to use more meaningful codes. Each institution defined Country Code must be mapped to a Government Country Code. Country Codes are used to record person statistical details in the Maintain Person Statistical Details form (ENRF3060) reporting to government data for countries of birth (E346), permanent residence country - where not Australia (E658) and semester residence country - where not Australia (E661) in the HE Students and VSL Students Data Group. Examples of Country mappings:
The 'Eligible for OS-HELP Study in Asia' indicator is used to indicate that if this country is a primary or secondary country for external study, as defined in ENRF3900, then their external study loan should be one which is mapped to student status 241 in FINF1S00, which may make them eligible for an associated Asian Study Language Supplement OS-HELP loan (recorded in ENRF3900). |

Rules/Notes: If ‘Hide from Applicant’ flag is activated, the selected Country will not appear for selection via the ‘Country of Citizenship’ list in Applicant Portal If ‘Hide from Agent’ flag is activated, the selected Country will not appear for selection via the ‘Country of Citizenship’ list in Agent Applicant Portal.

create a new Country Code record using the Maintain Country Codes form:

Rules/Notes: The Effective Start Submission Year can not be greater than the Effective End Submission Year. |
To
modify a Country Code record using the Maintain Country Codes form:

Rules/Notes: A Country Code should only be modified where the change is to correct an incorrectly entered description or where the country's name changes. |
To delete a Country Code record using the Maintain Country Codes form:

Rules/Notes: If a Country Code has been assigned to a Student Enrolment, it cannot be deleted. It can be closed, preventing any further use, by selecting the Closed check box. A Country Code cannot be deleted if it has been used to define: |
