1. This form is used to record and maintain the institution defined set of Parent/Guardian Highest Edu Attainment Codes. These are mapped to Government Parent/Guardian Highest Edu Attainment Codes (elements 573 and 574 in the HE Students data group), but provide for greater flexibility with the ability to subdivide Government Codes and to use more meaningful codes. Each institution defined code must be mapped to a Government Parent/Guardian Highest Edu Attainment Code. These Codes are used in the Maintain Person Statistical Details form (ENRF3060) and the Callista Connect Person Statistics application.

The Parent/Guardian Highest Educational Attainment Code block contains:

• Highest Educational Attainment Code
• Description
• Govt Edu Attainment Code
• Closed check box
• Comments
• Explanation

• Go to ENRF0160.
• In a new record, enter the new Highest Educational. Attainment Code in the Highest Educational Attainment Code field.
• Enter a description for the Highest Educational Attainment Code in the Description field.
• Select the Govt Highest Educational Attainment Code to which the new code maps from the list of values (or key a valid value in the Govt Highest Educational Attainment Code field).
• Enter any other information regarding this code in the Comments field.
• Record an Explanation for each Highest Educational Attainment Code. Highest Educational Attainment Code explanations are used as part of the GOVT-STATS application in Callista Connect.
• Save.

Rules/Notes:

Each institution defined Highest Educational Attainment Code MUST be unique.

A Parent/Guardian Highest Edu Attainment Code cannot be mapped to a closed Govt Parent/Guardian Highest Edu Attainment code.

To modify a Parent/Guardian Highest Educational Attainment Code using the Maintain Parent/Guardian Highest Educational Attainment Codes form:

• Find the record to be modified.
• Modify the record as required.
• Save.

Rules/Notes:

A Highest Educational Attainment Code should only be modified where the change is to correct an incorrectly entered Description Comment and/or Explanation.

To delete a Parent/Guardian Highest Educational Attainment Code using the Parent/Guardian Highest Educational Attainment Code form:

• Find the record to be deleted.
• Locate the cursor in the record to be deleted.
• Delete record.
• Save.

Rules/Notes:

If an Highest Educational Attainment Code has been assigned to a Student Enrolment, it cannot be deleted. It can however be closed, preventing any further use, by selecting the Closed check box
