This page is used to configure Discontinuation and Intermission processes to allow or disallow students to create online Course Discontinuation/Intermission applications in Student Connect, and the processing of applications in ENRW3400. For Intermission applications this includes application for intermission, application to return early from intermission and application to cancel future approved intermission.
Note: The configuration settings for Intermission applications will also be used for Early Return from Intermission applications and Cancel Future Period of Approved Intermission applications.
Values set on this page are recorded in the S_ENR_CONF table and determine the availability and processing of Intermission and Discontinuation applications online.
For further information and the steps required to set up Callista for Discontinuation and Intermission applications, see the Discontinuation/Intermission Application Configuration Help page.
The following tables describe all fields including applicable Table values, on the Enrolment Configuration page.
| Field: | Description: |
| *Auto Student Course Detail Update | This value determines if a discontinuation, intermission, early return from intermission or cancellation of a future approved intermission, recorded in ENRW3400, is automatically transferred to Callista SMS (ENRF3000 or ENRF4160) when a System Check is run and the application is approved. S_ENR_CONF.DISCONT_ INTRMSN_SCA_UPDATE |
| *New Application Acceptance Process | This value determines whether the e-mail or workflow (discontIntrmsnAssessor) process, or neither, are generated when a pending Discontinuation or Intermission application is created by a student online in Student Connect. Pending applications are created when the system is not configured for auto-approval or when application could not be auto-approved due to one or more system checks failing. Select NONE, EMAIL or WORKFLOW from the List of Values (LOVs). S_ENR_CONF.DISCONT_INTRMSN_NEW_APPL_PRCS |
| SSF International Available | Select this check box to enable international students to use the Student Connect application (DISINTAPPL) to apply for intermission or discontinuation.
S_ENR_CONF. ALLOW_INTRNTNL_DISINT_APPL_IND |
| Field: | Description: |
| Allow SSF Application | Select this check box if Discontinuation applications are to be available online for students in Student Connect for courses that have the 'Discontinuation SSF Available' check box selected in the Maintain Basic Course Details form (CRSF1210).
S_ENR_CONF. ALLOW_SSF_DISCONT_APPL_IND |
| Allow Auto Approval | Select this check box to allow automatic approval of Discontinuation applications. Discontinuations with a system value of PENDING, will be approved automatically for courses that have the 'Discontinuation Auto Approve' check box selected in the Maintain Basic Course Details form (CRSF1210). With Auto Approval the system automatically performs the system checks defined in ENRW3400 (i.e. this occurs when a student completes an application in Student Connect). If they are successfully passed then the status of the application automatically changes to APPROVED. If this check box is not selected, the student's application is transferred to ENRW3400 (with a status of PENDING) for staff to assess and process. S_ENR_CONF.DISCONT_AUTO_APPROVAL_IND |
| Allow Early Discontinuation | Select this check box to allow students to discontinue from courses, via Student Connect, prior to the course commencement date. S_ENR_CONF.DISCONT_EARLY_ALLOWED_IND |
| Email Type | If 'New Application Acceptance Process' (above) = EMAIL, then an Email Type must be selected from the LOVs. These Email Types are recorded in the Maintain Email Type form (CORF2660) and define the contents of the e-mail notifying staff of a Discontinuation application. S_ENR_CONF.DISCONT_EMAIL_TYPE |
| If 'New Application Acceptance Process' (above) = EMAIL, then the e-mail address of the Person who coordinates Course Discontinuations must be recorded in this field. An e-mail will be sent to this address when a Discontinuation application is saved. (For example, this might be the e-mail address of the person who assesses applications in ENRW3400.) S_ENR_CONF.DISCONT_EMAIL_ADDRESS |
