SECF0089 - Maintain Edge Roles

Purpose This form is used to define Edge Roles. These can be assigned to a user in SECF0085 and to a Security Role in SECF0087.

Edge Role

 

This form is used to define Edge Role(s) that can be allocated to a user in SECF0085 or a Security Role in SECF0087. Access to various functions within Edge will be defined for that Edge Role within Tribal Edge.

The Edge Roles provided can be modified, deleted or closed, and user-defined roles can be added as required.
Examples of Edge Roles:

  • Statutory - This role provides users with access to the AU Compliance section in Edge and allows them to use the Submissions area, so Course of Study and Course, etc. These users are allowed to view and edit the Compliance data once it’s loaded into Edge and submit the data to the Government.
    i.e The users that would have previously run the Statistics Jobs in Callista SMS before TCSI.
  • StatutoryAdmin - This role is only for an administrator and allows the administrator to access the PRODA Settings. This grants access to devices to enable them to communicate with the Government.

This form is accessed via the Callista menu.

 

The Edge Role block contains:

  • Edge Role
  • Description
  • Closed checkbox.

Rules/Notes:

 

To define a new Edge Role:

  • Go to SECF0089
  • Place cursor in the next blank row
  • Add values for Edge Role and Description
  • Save.

Rules/Notes:

  • The Edge Role field is case sensitive
  • The Edge Role value must be unique.

 

To update an Edge Role:

  • Go to SECF0089
  • Query for the Edge Role
  • Update the record as required
  • Save.

Rules/Notes:

  • Edge Role value cannot be updated.

To delete an Edge Role:

  • Go to SECF0089
  • Query for the Edge Role
  • Delete the record as required
  • Save.

Rules/Notes:

  • Edge Roles that have been allocated to users or Security Roles cannot be deleted. They should be closed to prevent them being used.
