Enables the creation of the OS-HELP File for submission to DEEWR

This job enables the creation of the OS-HELP file that is reported to DEEWR and validated through HEPCAT software.

It creates a snapshot of the data that is to be included in the extract file so that a record of the reported data is maintained.

It also creates the extract file and saves it to the KEEP directory specified in S_JOB_CONTROL.

This job can also be run with a System Submission Type of REVISION which allows it to process revision details and produce the OS-HELP REVISION file.

The Create OS-HELP File block contains:

• Submission Number
• Start Date
• End Date

Rules/Notes

All parameters are mandatory.

Create a Unit of Study Completions file:

Select the Submission Year, System Submission Type and Submission number, then run the job.

File Naming

The file name will be HX1234YY.AXNNNT where:

• HX always present
• 1234 represents the Institution Code
• YY representing the file acronym. For example, 'OS' is used for OS-HELP file
• A always present
• X is the Submission Period (i.e. 1 for 1/1 to 30/6 or 2 for 1/7 to 31/12)
• NNN representing the Submission Number.

Rules/Notes:

Output is in the format as specified by DEEWR.

Submission Year, Type and Number combination must exist as a Government Submission Control record with a System Submission Type of OS-HELP or REVISION in STAF1350. There must not be a Completion Date recorded for this record.
