Confucius Institutes are non-profit institutions established and supported by the Government of the Peoples Republic of China to strengthen education cooperation between China and Australia. They also support and promote the development of Chinese language education, and increase mutual understanding among people in China and in Australia.
The Charles Darwin University Confucius Institute, located on the main campus of the university in Casuarina, Darwin, Northern Territory, is supported by the Chinese Government Confucius Institute Headquarters (HANBAN), the Charles Darwin University Foundation (Jose Yu) and the Charles Darwin University (CDU).
The Confucius Institute is located on the CDU Casuarina campus in building Orange 2 level 4. Opening hours are 8.30 – 4.30pm.
