National Student Safety Survey pilot
Universities Australia (UA) has engaged Roy Morgan to carry out the 2026 National Student Safety Survey (NSSS). This survey aims to gather important data regarding students’ experiences with sexual violence and harm to help shape university policies and services to improve student safety. The NSSS will be conducted across Australia during Semester 1 2026 (pilot) and Semester 2 2026.
If you have been selected in the Pilot, you will receive an email from safetysurvey@roymorgan.com in your CDU student email account.
Check your inbox to see if you've been selected
Charles Darwin students will be randomly selected to participate in the National Student Safety Survey pilot.
- education you have received on sex and relationships,
- how you feel navigating sexual interactions,
- your perceptions and attitudes towards sexual violence or harm,
- and your experiences of sexual assault, sexual harassment and technology-facilitated sexual violence
- your awareness of, and experiences using, support and reporting pathways at your university.
The data collected in the survey will remain anonymous and confidential. The survey will be managed by Universities Australia and conducted by Roy Morgan. Keep an eye on your inbox to see if you’ve been randomly selected to participate.
Support Services
The survey is anonymous and is not a reporting tool. If you have experienced or witnessed sexual assault, harassment or any unwanted sexual behaviour please seek support. Remember, you don’t have to report an incident to access support.
You can play a part in promoting safer and more respectful communities
We thank all the students who will complete the pilot and the full national survey for taking part in this important work. We also acknowledge victims and survivors of violence. You are the reason we are undertaking this important work.
