Australian Government Scholarships

Study in Australia's Northern Territory Scholarship

Study in Australia’s Northern Territory Scholarships are provided by the Northern Territory (NT) Government CDU to talented international students to study in Australia’s Northern Territory.

The scholarship program is currently accessible for international students residing in Australia, outside of the Northern Territory.

Once international travel to Australia resumes the scholarship program will again be accessible for international students living overseas.

Applications are now open for this scholarship. The scholarship amounts are:

  • Higher Education (Undergraduate or Postgraduate): $12 000
  • Vocational Education and Training (VET): $7500.

The scholarship amount is for your first semester or year of tuition fees with your education and training provider.

Australia Awards

CDU provides undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses for Australia Awards Scholarship students. Australia Awards Scholarship students enjoy the support services offered to all International students, plus:

  • Support from the University's designated Australia Awards Scholarship Officer
  • A special Introductory Academic Program
  • Additional tuition support as recommended by academic staff

CDU Scholarships

Online overseas international student scholarship (new and current students)

Applications open

Applications open in October 2021 for new international students commencing overseas in Semester 1 2022 and current online international students outside of Australia.

Applications close

No scholarship application process; scholarships will be automatically applied to eligible students tuition fees.

What you will receive

The scholarship is a 25% fee scholarship which will be applied upfront on acceptance of an offer. For current online international students, a 25% scholarship will be applied to your Semester 1, 2022 tuition fees.

About the scholarship

To support our international students who are unable to travel to Australia to commence their studies,  CDU will be offering 25% tuition fee scholarships to all international students studying online offshore in S1, 2022. The scholarship will apply to both commencing and continuing students studying online offshore.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be either commencing or continuing students currently studying online outside of Australia
  • Applicants must be international students paying international student fees
  • Applicants must not hold another scholarship from an Australian or foreign sponsorship agency or CDU
  • The scholarship will be automatically applied at the time of acceptance
  • The scholarship will only apply until travel restrictions are lifted but will be honoured for the full semester of study. Students cannot choose to remain offshore and receive the scholarship for future intakes
  • If students are permitted to travel to Australia via commercial or charter flights and choose not to, they will not be eligible for the online offshore scholarship of 25% for the following semester.

Duration

The scholarship is applicable for Semester 1, 2022 only and will only apply until travel restrictions are lifted but will be honoured for the full semester of study. Students cannot choose to remain offshore and receive the scholarship for future intakes

Ongoing eligibility

Students will remain eligible for this scholarship as long as the eligibility criteria continue to be met.

How to apply

New students: scholarships will be automatically applied at acceptance to all students studying online offshore.

Current students: the 25% scholarship will be applied to your account.

What happens next?

CDU Global will notify new commencing online international students and current online international students overseas of this scholarship.

2021 CDU International College Pathway Scholarship

No application is required. Applicants are automatically assessed after submitting their application for an eligible course.

The scholarship is neither transferable for cash nor refundable and cannot be transferred to another person, semester, course or year.

*Scholarships have a limited quota per semester. The scholarships will be awarded until the quota has been filled.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must apply to commence study in Summer Semester 2021 for a pathway course with CDU International College;
  • Applicants must meet the University’s academic and English language entry requirements for their chosen course;
  • Applicant must be an international student applying for a student visa; and
  • Applicant must not hold another scholarship from an Australian or other government sponsorship agency.

Selection Criteria

No application is required. All eligible applicants will receive a scholarship until the scholarship quota is filled.

Duration

The duration of the Scholarship is the minimum time in which the course can be completed.

Ongoing Eligibility 

In order to retain the scholarship, the recipient must meet all the following:

  • Continue to be an international student liable for international student fees;
  • Pay their portion of the tuition fees on or before the payment due date (first day of teaching) of each semester;
  • Maintain a passing with no fail grade in any  unit; and
  • Maintain a full-time enrolment for each semester or have the approval to reduce their study load or take a leave of absence for the semester.

What happens next?

If the application is successful, we'll notify the applicant by email confirming the details of the scholarship.

2022 CDU International College Pathway Scholarship

  • Graduate Diploma of Public Health + Master of Public Health
  • Graduate Diploma of Health Research + Master of Public Health
  • Master of Public Health/Master of Health Research Double Degree

The scholarship covers 25% of the tuition fee for the first year of study (compulsory semesters only) and 10% in subsequent years.

About the scholarship

Menzies Education offers a limited number of Menzies Global Leader Scholarships to international students who have a record of academic excellence and high achievement. The scholarship is neither transferable for cash nor refundable and cannot be transferred to another person, semester, course or year.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must apply to commence study in S1 2022
  • Applicants must meet the University’s academic and English language entry requirements for their chosen course
  • Applicants must have a minimum overall score of 70% in their highest completed qualification
  • Applicant must be an international student on a student visa
  • Applicant must not hold another scholarship from an Australian or foreign sponsorship agency
  • Must take on a minimum of two units of study in a compulsory study period

Overall score in their highest completed qualification

Duration

The duration of the Scholarship is the minimum time in which the course can be completed or when one of the following is true:

  • The maximum Scholarship value has been exhausted
  • You have completed your course
  • You no longer meet the ongoing eligibility of the scholarship

Ongoing Eligibility 

To retain the scholarship, the recipient must meet all the following:

  • Continue to be an international student liable for international student fees
  • Pay their portion of the tuition fees on or before the payment due date (first day of teaching) of each semester
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress each semester with a minimum GPA of 4.5 and with no fail grade in any unit
  • Maintain either a full-time enrolment of 40 credit points (0.5 EFTSL) each semester or have approval to reduce their study load within a minimum of 20 credit points each semester. Or take a leave of absence for the semester.

Menzies International Academic Support Package

Menzies School of Health Research (Menzies) is offering FREE textbooks* to international students commencing in any of the following programs in 2021 or 2022:

  • Graduate Certificate of Infectious Disease Prevention and Control
  • Graduate Diploma of Public Health
  • Graduate Diploma of Health Research
  • Master of Public Health
  • Master of Health Research
  • Two Year Package: Graduate Diploma of Public Health (or Health Research) + Master of Public Health
