CDU graduates boast top salaries and employment outcomes
Charles Darwin University (CDU) graduates are likely to earn higher salaries and have a higher chance of retaining employment than graduates from other universities, according to national data, by the Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT).
CDU came in second nationally on salary with CDU graduates earning above the national average. CDU students with an undergraduate degree are likely to earn $87,200 on completion of their degrees, surpassing other Australian university graduates when it comes to their earning potential.
When it comes to employment rates, three years after graduating CDU students top the nation, at a whopping 96.6 per cent. This surpasses the results of more than 40 institutions surveyed across other states and territories.
CDU Vice-Chancellor Professor Scott Bowman said the university was pleased to see positive progress in CDU’s performance in the QILT surveys across graduate outcomes.
“CDU graduates’ employability has consistently been ranked top in the nation over the years,” Professor Bowman said.
“We are proud of our graduates who show the industry knowledge and skills they gain through their education are contributing to their success in gaining and retaining employment and their competitive earning potential.”
Professor Bowman said the QILT survey results validated CDU graduates’ high employability skills and career potential in the Northern Territory and beyond.
“There are so many employment opportunities within the Northern Territory for our graduates to find employment in a variety of industries where earning potential is high and the opportunities are endless,” he said.
“A lot of our courses embed industry experience components into theoretical learning, which is really valuable as it gets our graduates industry-ready as they finish their degrees.”
