This course builds the competencies of participants to engage with media and to understand what type of stories appeal to the media. The participants will learn about the different types of media, how to think about audiences and how to position themselves in the story. The participants will also learn about what the journalists want, the 5W and a H model of storytelling, and what to expect in interviews with the media. All of this is explained with real world examples, and activities to explore how participant's research can be developed in context for a wider audience.
