Proud Larrakia and Birri Gubba woman Melissa Fisher was determined to go to university after seeing her father’s lack of literacy growing up.
Professor, midwife and child health nurse, Sue Kruske has worked in the primary care setting for over 30 years. She has a background in midwifery and child health nursing and worked for many years in remote Indigenous communities.
Yu practiced as a Resident Obstetrician in a large teaching hospital in China for a year before completing her PhD at CDU in 2008. She now leads the Statistical and Health Economics team within the College of Nursing and Midwifery.
Professor Dan Bressington is Professor in Mental Health at the College of Nursing and Midwifery. He leads the Mental Health Care Research Group at the College. He also holds visiting Professor positions at La Trobe University (Melbourne) and The Hong Kong
A Masters level Nurse Practitioner course offered by Charles Darwin University through the Centre for Remote Health will help to build the workforce to support the Strategic Plan for Nurse Practitioners announced by the Northern Territory Government.
