Charles Darwin University, the Territory’s largest training provider, is offering a limited number of FREE TAFE (Vocational Education and Training) places to tackle skills shortages across the Northern Territory, and to help give more Territorians the chance to study and receive qualifications.
Territorians now have access to a range of free short courses to help them emerge from the COVID-19 outbreak with new skills, thanks to the partnership between Charles Darwin University and the Northern Territory Government
The fee-free TAFE program returns to CDU with more than 60 courses offered to ensure the Northern Territory has the skilled workforce it needs.
A strong interest in fee-free TAFE places has brought in approximately 800 enrolments to Charles Darwin University (CDU), with the accessible pathway opening new training opportunities across health, business, hospitality, and education disciplines.
The University’s First Nations Student Services Tutorial Support Program provides free individual and group tutoring to eligible Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (Indigenous) students. Students can receive support if enrolled in either Higher Education Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses or TAFE courses.
More than 10 qualifications in health and community services will be free to study for students to better support more community service workers applying to study, thanks to Charles Darwin University (CDU) and the Northern Territory Government.
