What will I study?
The course consists of core units and a specialist elective unit. The core units of the course will allow you to explore a range of data science concepts.
Course structure
The specialist elective will allow you to study a complementary unit in an area such as statistics and decision making.
The course stresses both the importance of theory and the application of theory in practice through projects and practical exercises.
A candidate must successfully complete units totalling 40 credit points (cp) as detailed below. All units are valued at 10 credit points unless otherwise indicated.

Admission criteria
Successful completion of a recognised bachelor degree or equivalent international qualification with a major in computer science, information technology, information systems, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a program with substantial quantitative competencies.
Consideration will also be given to applicants who have at least five years appropriate professional experience. Applicants must provide further documentation detailing their employment experience in the form of a curriculum vitae (CV) with their application.

To be eligible for admission to this course, applicants must meet the standard English language proficiency requirements for Higher Education courses at Charles Darwin University (CDU) and provide evidence as part of their application.
