Jorja is a proud First Nations woman and dedicated lawyer whose career reflects both professional excellence and an unwavering commitment to justice, empowerment, and community advocacy. After completing her Bachelor of Laws at Charles Darwin University and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice in Melbourne, Jorja returned to the Northern Territory to begin her career with the North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency (NAAJA). She now works with the Top End Women’s Legal Service, providing vital legal assistance to women facing complex and often deeply personal challenges.
Driven by empathy and purpose, Jorja is passionate about empowering her clients, ensuring they understand their rights and feelsupported through every step of the legal process. Alongside her demanding professional role, she continues to invest in her own growth, currently undertaking a Diploma in Psychology to deepen her understanding of trauma-informed practice and enhance the care she offers to clients.
Jorja’s leadership extends beyond the courtroom. She serves as a committee member of the NorthernTerritory Women Lawyers Association, contributing to initiatives that promote equity and professional development across the legal field. A committed mentor and CDU Law tutor, she supports aspiring lawyers, particularly First Nations students, by sharing her experience, guidance, and cultural insight.
