"Win a $2,000 experience and study pack with CDU Adaptive" (the “Competition”)
Method of entry
To enter the Competition, participants must complete the online webform above with their details.
Promotion period
The Competition will be open from 1 October 2026 12.01 am ACST until 31 October 2026 11.59 pm ACST.
Conditions for valid entry
Participants acknowledge and agree:
Entry into the Competition is open to Australian residents who complete the online webform during the Promotion Period.
The Competition is open to employees of Charles Darwin University (CDU), but individuals who are considered by CDU (in its sole discretion) to fall within this category are not eligible to receive the Prize.
Entries into the Competition will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt of a valid entry by CDU and not at the time a participant submits their entry.
If under the age of 18, a participant must provide written permission from their parent or legal guardian in order to enter the Competition. If the winner of the Competition is under 18 years of age, the Prize must be accepted and collected by the winner’s parent or legal guardian.
Incomplete, incomprehensible, late, misdirected or unsubscribed entries will be deemed invalid.
By entering the Competition, participants agree that they have read the terms and conditions that form a part of this Competition.
CDU, in its absolute discretion, reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries and to disqualify any participant who tampers with the entry process, or submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
CDU reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition or amend these Terms and Conditions
If for any reason the Competition cannot run as planned, CDU reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition in its sole discretion.
CDU reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of identity acceptable to CDU in its sole discretion, prior to delivery of the Prize. Unless anonymity has specifically been requested in writing to CDU by the winner, upon request, the winner must provide CDU with either a photograph and/or video of themselves (to be determined by CDU in its sole discretion) with the Prize and permit CDU to this material on its digital media and communication platforms for promotional purposes.
CDU shall not be liable and excludes all liability (including negligence) for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) for damage to property, personal injury or death suffered or sustained in connection with the Competition or the use or taking of the Prize except for any liability which cannot be lawfully excluded.
The Prize
- The Prize is one $2,000 experience and tech pack, comprising:
- $1,000 Red Balloon experience voucher
- $1,000 JB Hi-Fi gift card
The total value of the prize is $ 2,000.
The Prize will be provided by CDU.
The Prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
The winner will be contacted by the CDU Marketing Media Communications office via the phone number provided on the entry form by Wednesday 4 November 2026.
The Prize will be delivered to the postal address of the winner specified on the winning entry but only within Australia.
The winner must be an Australian resident.
CDU will take all reasonable steps to identify and notify the winner. However, if the winner does not claim the Prize within seven days of the date on which they are notified of winning the Competition, the Prize will be forfeited and will be awarded to the next drawn entry.
The Draw
The Prize draw will take place at 10 am ACST on Monday, 2 November 2026, at the Marketing, Media and Communications Office, Building Orange 12, Level 3, Charles Darwin University, Ellengowan Drive, Brinkin NT 0810.
Participants are not required to be present at the draw.
This is a competition of chance. All valid entries will go into the draw and the winner will be selected at random.
The result of the draw is final.
Privacy
Participants acknowledge and agree that unless a participant expressly requests otherwise (in writing to CDU at the time of or prior to submitting an entry into the Competition), the following will apply:
Any personal information provided when entering the Competition may be used by CDU for the purposes of administering the Competition and will be dealt with in accordance with CDU’s Privacy and Confidentiality policy and any other applicable CDU policies.
The winner agrees to participate and co-operate, as required in all publicity activities relating to the Competition, including without limitation: being interviewed, photographed, filmed and recorded.
The winner authorises CDU to use such content for its operational purposes in any media in perpetuity worldwide.
