CDU offers research-based internships at our globally renowned research institutes, centres and labs. For more information, contact one of our Learning Abroad Officers. Research Internships are competitive and are based on merit and project availability.

How to apply

To apply for a CDU Internship, you will need to submit an expression of interest with the following documentation:

  • Your cover letter
  • Current Curriculum Vitae
  • Copy of your passport
  • Proof of English proficiency
  • Current academic transcript (in English)
  • Support letter from home university
  • Request for internship duration date

Once the CDU Learning Abroad Team has received your expression of interest, your eligibility for the internship will be assessed.  If you are successful, the CDU Learning Abroad Team will match you with a supervisor and send through an application form for you to fill out.

Your Letter of Offer for your internship will be provided to you once you have submitted a completed and approved application form.  

Generally, students who are research interns at CDU study on a student visa. Find out more about visa requirements for undertaking an internship in Australia at the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs.
