CDU to welcome visitors at open days across the Territory
Thousands of prospective students across the Territory will get a taste for the university life as they attend open days at Charles Darwin University (CDU) campuses in the coming months.
This year, open days will be held at CDU campuses in Casuarina, Alice Springs and for the first time in Katherine, Palmerston and Sydney as well as virtually.
Open day events will be a one-stop shop for those who want to explore higher education and vocational training study options and aim to provide information around the University’s hundreds of short courses, higher education degrees and vocational training qualifications.
CDU Student Recruitment and Events Manager Marissa Briston said open days provide the perfect opportunity to explore what’s on offer at CDU.
“We know the university journey can be an intimidating one, so our CDU Open Days will provide all the information you will need to decide whether study is the right pathway for you,” Ms Briston said.
“You will have the opportunity to talk to our friendly staff around courses, scholarships and career outcomes.”
“We are excited to be able to bring our open days to CDU campuses across the Territory and Sydney this year and look forward to seeing many excited faces.”
Each open day will look to showcase specific courses that CDU offers in that region. A variety of interactive displays, demonstrations and tours will be on offer to assist prospective students with decision making as well as bringing some fun to the days.
CDU Vice-Chancellor Scott Bowman said CDU Open Days are the perfect way to encourage more people to study and live in the Northern Territory.
“The Northern Territory is a truly fantastic place to study, work and live and our open days will help to showcase the unique study and career opportunities the Territory has to offer which will help build our local workforce,” Professor Bowman said.
“We are delighted to welcome our open day visitors to our campuses and look forward to showing them what CDU has to offer.”
CDU’s first Open Day will take place at Katherine Town Centre on June 9 with other open days as follows:
