More than 300 students will converge on Casuarina campus this morning for the start of Semester Two Orientation Week at Charles Darwin University.

Students will attend a welcome breakfast and traditional smoking ceremony before attending academic information sessions.

O Week coordinator David Macbain said he expected studying at CDU would open doors to opportunities for new students.

β€œO Week is a fantastic time to network and gain information,” he said.

β€œIt is a great chance for new students to explore the campus and for existing students to re-familiarise themselves, ensuring that everyone is prepared for Semester Two.”

Speed-friending, bubble sports and movies under the stars will give new students an opportunity to get to know each other and the campus.

Workshops will provide study tips, an Indigenous Knowledges and Learning showcase, and information about applying for scholarships, peer-assisted study and being an international student.
