Hailing from Katherine, Alina decided to stay in the Territory and study at CDU. While studying she found a passion for helping others. After starting her own student group, she eventually moved into a student group project officer role with Charles Darwin University.
Isabella Garti was a midwifery practitioner and lecturer for more than 12 years in her home country of Ghana. Moving to Charles Darwin University, Darwin has supported her to focus on improving the lives of Ghana’s mums and bubs from across the world. 
More than 150 students are set to graduate from Charles Darwin University (CDU) today at a ceremony held at Sydney’s Town Hall, in a first for the University.
