Overview
There is an increasing demand for accounting graduates with digital skills, with technological skills delivering higher pay rises. During your Bachelor of Accounting, you will study a number of accounting core units covering foundational knowledge and skills required in the accounting profession. There are a number of elective units available where students can focus on an area of interest. The accounting capstone unit in your final semester will bring together the concepts and theory you have studied across your degree, with a focus on ethics and professional applications that will prepare you well for the next steps in your working life.
The Diploma of Digital Enterprise is a flexible qualification that builds critical skills and knowledge in the business and information technology spheres. It equips you with a unique and powerful combination of skills, giving you a professional advantage in today's competitive business world.
Successful completion of the degree will satisfy the entry requirements of the professional accounting bodies in Australia.
Career opportunities
Completing a Bachelor of Accounting/Diploma of Digital Enterprise dual qualification can lead to a wide range of career opportunities in small, medium and large organisations. An accountant with knowledge of the digital enterprise will obtain the specialised skills in software and business concepts.
As a dual qualification graduate, you may become a financial accountant, management accountant, financial auditor, tax auditor/preparer, business financial analyst, or work in a large multinational company or 'Big Four' accounting firm. Or, you could run your own businesses, work in a small local accounting firm, or work in other areas of business management. There can be other career opportunities due to the combination of knowledge of accounting and digital enterprise putting you in a unique advantage which a single qualification otherwise cannot offer.

Fees
Commonwealth supported places
Commonwealth Supported places are available in this course to students who meet one of the following residency requirements:
(a) be an Australian citizen, who will complete some of your course of study while resident in Australia; or
(b) a New Zealand citizen; or an Australian permanent visa holder; or an eligible former permanent humanitarian visa holder; who studies the entire course while living in Australia.

International tuition fees
The annual tuition fee for full time study in 2026 is AUD $31,208.00. This equates to $3,901.00 per 10 credit point unit (0.125 EFTSL).
These fees are subject to increases annually, effective at the start of each calendar year.

What will I study?
Bachelor of Accounting /Diploma of Digital Enterprise is a three-year full-time or six year part-time equivalent dual qualification. This dual degree consists of twenty core units and four specialist electives. COM105 Business Communications, IAS201 Cultural Capabilities and MAN105 Introduction to Management are three core units common to both qualifications. Therefore, Bachelor of Accounting students must complete five more units in the Diploma of Digital Enterprise and can award two qualifications.

A candidate must successfully complete units totalling 240 credit points as detailed below. All units are valued at 10 credit points unless otherwise indicated.

Entry requirements
Admission criteria
Admission requirements are met by one of the following:
- Successful completion of the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (or equivalent) and the awarding of an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of at least 60*.
- Successful completion of a national qualification at Certificate III level or higher.
- Successful completion of at least 0.5 year of full-time study (or equivalent) of a higher education degree/diploma.
- Overseas secondary or tertiary qualifications considered equivalent to the above Australian qualifications.
- Attainment of a STAT Multiple Choice score of 140.
- Successful completion of the Tertiary Enabling Program, the Preparation for Tertiary Success courses, or other recognised tertiary preparation course.
- Submission of an acceptable personal competencies statement and/or employment experience.
- Australian Defence Force (ADF) members with service of 1 year or more at the following ranks (or higher) meet the academic entry requirement for this course:
- Navy: Seaman, Able Seaman, Leading Seaman
- Air Force: Aircraftmen/Aircraftwoman, Leading Aircraftman/Aircraftwoman, Corporal
- Army: Private, Lance Corporal, Corporal

DOMESTIC STUDENTS
To be eligible for admission to this course, applicants must meet the standard English language proficiency requirements for Higher Education courses at Charles Darwin University (CDU) and provide evidence as part of their application.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
To gain entry into Charles Darwin University, all Higher Education applicants must satisfy the University's English Language Proficiency Requirements for their chosen course of study.
