Sujan is a dynamic technology professional and community leader whose early career has made a lasting impact on innovation and inclusion in the Northern Territory. Recognising the need for stronger industry connections and mentorship opportunities for emerging professionals, Sujan founded Google Developer Group (GDG) Darwin, a thriving community of more than 250 IT professionals and students. Through regular workshops, talks, and partnerships, he has helped nurture a culture of innovation, collaboration, and professional growth across the Top End.
As a Systems Developer at Charles Darwin University, Sujan designed and deployed a digital registration system for the CDU IT Code Fair 2023, transforming event operations and enhancing the experience for students, employers, and judges. His practical innovations continue to strengthen links between industry and education.
Beyond technology, Sujan has demonstrated exceptional community leadership as Volunteer Manager and Community Engagement Coordinator with Kindness Shake, helping grow the Kindness Festival into one of Darwin’s largest multicultural events, attracting over 7,000 attendees and 30 community organisations.
A dedicated mentor, Sujan has supported more than 50 early-career IT professionals, particularly from international and migrant backgrounds, fostering confidence, employability, and belonging. A finalist in the 2025 NT Young Achievers Awards – CDU International Student Award, Sujan exemplifies leadership, innovation, and service.
