Do you live in Sydney and are a newly commencing student in Semester 2 2025?

Start your journey with CDU right and join us for five days of activities, free food and get to know your fellow peers. 

*Make sure to check the schedule to attend your Faculty-specific welcome event.

Please note: This event is in Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time (AEDT).

Day 1 - Monday 14 July10 am - 3 pm AEDT
  • Visit the Welcome Centre to get your student ID, get enrolment help and support with all your student admin needs.
Day 2 - Wednesday 16 July*9 am - 4 pm AEDT

For students in the Faculty of Science and Technology: 
Information Technology and Project Management

  • Official welcome to CDU and collect your welcome pack.
  • Learn about student support systems and services to get you started as a new student at CDU.
  • Connect with your Faculty, be social and network.
Day 3 - Thursday 17 July*9 am - 4 pm AEDT

For students in the Faculty of Arts and Society: 
Business and Accounting

  • Official welcome to CDU and collect your welcome pack.
  • Learn about student support systems and services to get you started as a new student at CDU.
  • Connect with your Faculty, be social and network.
Day 4 - Friday 18 July9 am AEDT onwards
  • Get beach safety advice from Surf Lifesaving NSW - just in time for summer.
  • Learn how to be job ready with the CDU Careers team and get a free pizza lunch.
  • Join a Darling Harbour walking tour and explore the area.

    Dr Sonu Yadav (Principal Molecular Scientist in the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, Northern Territory Government) will present her research on using genetics and genomics datasets to address key questions in insect conservation, management, and evolutionary biology.
