Learning how to be a student at university is a skill. O-Week will show you how to use your systems, make the most of your library, access student services and support – and, importantly, build your community! Get ready for Orientation with these 3 steps.

1. Set up your student account 

To attend your course-specific Orientation in Learnline, you will need to activate your student account. Do this now by clicking the link and following the instructions.

2. Register for the main events 

We know from experience that the students who attend Orientation are the most prepared for study. It’s time to register.

Virtual Orientation 

Event details

Designed for our online student community (but open to anyone who would like to attend), Virtual Orientation will give you an insight into the virtual study environment and show you how to access your library, support and student groups.  

Plus, you’ll hear from other online students about what they wish they had known when they started. 

This session offers a Q&A with Student Central so you can get all of your questions answered.

Darwin all-student Orientation 

Event details

Designed for those studying in Darwin (but open to anyone who would like to attend). Darwin Orientation offers an array of ceremonial and cultural events, opportunities to connect with other students (both domestic and international), lunch with our VC, tours of the campus located on Larrakia country, plus visit the Careers Centre and more!

International (onshore) Darwin Orientation  

Event details

Hear all about the services that will support you as you transition into the Australian way of life in Darwin! We’ll teach you how to stay safe and stay well during your time with CDU and explain your student visa rules, volunteering opportunities, health insurance, legal rights for part-time casual work and tenancy arrangements.  

Make sure you also register for the All-student Orientation on the 4 August so that you can meet students just like you and make a few new Aussie mates.

International (offshore) Virtual Orientation  

Event details

A dedicated session to support our international students studying abroad. You will learn how to set up your learning tools, get to know your CDU support team and meet other offshore international students

Course-specific Orientation

Course-specific Orientation 

Your course-specific Orientation is where you will meet your course coordinator or lecturers, ask questions and get to know your classmates. 

Course-specific sessions will be held virtually to accommodate all students.
