CDU to mark alumni success stories
Charles Darwin University will recognise the success and innovation of past graduates in its newly established Alumni Awards, with nominations now open.
The accolades will acknowledge the exceptional achievements of alumni, from those who are established in their careers to others who are just starting out.
Past CDU graduates include the Administrator of the Northern Territory Her Honour the Honourable Vicki O’Halloran AO, Chief Minister Michael Gunner, Chair of Business South Australia Nikki Govan and former Prime Minister of Tuvalu Willy Telavi.
CDU Alumni Manager Nurhadi Khan said the awards would highlight the contribution of CDU alumni at local, national and international levels.
“There are more than 70,000 CDU alumni across 140 countries, and they play a pivotal role in the history and future of the university,” Mr Khan said.
“The awards will recognise and celebrate alumni who demonstrate exceptional professional, academic or research achievements and contributions to our society.”
The NT Administrator said the Charles Darwin University Alumni Awards were a “wonderful opportunity to recognise the achievements of past students”.
“CDU graduates are making valuable contributions in diverse fields around the world,” she said.
CDU alumni can nominate themselves or be nominated by a family member or friend.
Nominations for the inaugural awards have been extended until 12 June (midnight), with an awards ceremony scheduled for October 2020. For more information on how to make a nomination visit W: cdu.edu.au/alumni-giving/alumni-awards
