Charles Darwin University (CDU) has made significant progress in the rankings of top universities established within the last 50 years.

In the latest 2023 rankings, CDU secured the 60th position, a substantial improvement from its previous ranking of 104th among universities worldwide established less than 50 years ago.

CDU Vice-Chancellor Professor Scott Bowman credited this achievement to the transformative changes implemented at the university since the COVID-19 pandemic.

For the second year ever, a team of 14 talented and athletic Charles Darwin University (CDU) students have competed at the Indigenous Nationals games, in Melbourne.

First Nations students from universities across Australia versed each other in four core sports – touch football, netball, basketball, and volleyball.

Jaiden McGregor, a CDU student studying a Master of Emergency and Disaster Management, was excited to represent the Territory on a national level.

Fifteen students identified through local jobs program and in partnership with Charles Darwin University TAFE Alice Springs have completed a 10-week intensive pre-employment program.

The program looked at skills required for the successful placement of individuals into the construction industry including Traffic Management, Loader Operations, Skid Steer Operations White Card, Work Health and Safety requirements, Excavation operations and more.
