Charles Darwin University (CDU) staff have rallied together to raise money for Northern Territory communities affected by the recent floods in the Big Rivers Region.

A collective donation of $9,000 will be equally shared between the Gurindji Aboriginal Corporation and the Karungkarni Art and Cultural Aboriginal Corporation, to provide emergency supplies for residents and help repair the Karungkarni Art and Culture Centre.

Charles Darwin University (CDU) Art Gallery is proud to present the Gurindji freedom banners from 20 April until 15 July 2023, which tell the story of the historic Wave Hill Walk-off in 1966.

The exhibition will be opened by Gurindji/Malngin artist and cultural leader, Leah Leaman Namitja.

CDU Art Gallery is working in partnership with Karungkarni Art and Culture on the project.

Aeromedical students from across Australia have come together at Charles Darwin University's Casuarina campus for an intensive simulation on neonatal and paediatric retrievals.
