Join us for the HEAL NT Communities of Practice online event, delivered as part of the HEAL 2025 Conference, themed “Weaving Diverse Knowledges into Climate Action for Better Health.” This collaborative session brings together practitioners, researchers, policy leaders, and community members to explore key topics and emerging innovations across health, climate, and environmental challenges affecting the Northern Territory and broader Australia.
This event offers a valuable opportunity to engage with local experts, deepen your understanding of current issues, and contribute to discussions aimed at building healthier, more resilient communities. Our speakers will share insights on the impacts of climate change, community-led responses, and the role of diverse knowledge systems in shaping effective, sustainable action.
NT Communities of Practice event is an integral part of the HEAL Network’s work in the Northern Territory—creating a space for local voices, regional insights, and community-driven solutions. By aligning with the HEAL 2025 Conference theme, “Weaving Diverse Knowledges into Climate Action for Better Health,” the event reinforces HEAL’s mission to build connected, informed, and resilient communities that can better navigate the complex intersection of climate, environment, and health.
The HEAL Network (Healthy Environments and Lives Network) is a national initiative dedicated to strengthening Australia’s capacity to respond to the health impacts of climate change through collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing. Bringing together researchers, practitioners, community organisations, and policymakers across the country, HEAL fosters interdisciplinary approaches that integrate Indigenous knowledge, public health expertise, and climate science.
