The intention of this document is to outline the University’s position with respect to alcohol consumption, illicit drug abuse and/or substance misuse, and the consequences to health, academic achievement, relationships and employment from any misuse. This document also outlines the University’s support programs for staff and students who may have alcohol, drug and/or substance abuse problems.
This procedure outlines how to identify “reasonably foreseeable” work health and safety hazards, assess the risk associated with those hazards, implement controls to eliminate or minimise the risk so far as is reasonably practicable and review the implemented controls to ensure they are and remain effective.
The College of Health and Human Sciences strongly supports the right of all people to pursue a course in Occupational Therapy to achieve their potential and career objectives. The College is committed to making reasonable adjustments to teaching and learning, assessment, practice experiences and other activities to address the impact of students' disabilities so that they are able to participate in their course.
