These inherent requirements apply to the following course: Bachelor of Health Science.
If you’re hunting for a job, having a health science degree is a good thing. A very good thing, according to the Australian Government. That’s because our ageing population, the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme), and the concerning increase in chronic disease are driving jobs growth in the health care sector.
The Australian health system has traditionally had an acute care focus, and this tends to cascade to health students. Given that we have a major increase in chronic conditions and an ageing population, health reform is vital. Health Science graduates are health professionals who fill the gap in Australia’s health workforce in primary, public and preventative health. They are focused on keeping Australia’s population healthy.

Our courses are nationally recognised and accredited with the Australian Institute of Medical Science (AIMS).
As an exercise and sports scientist you'll be an expert in understanding how human bodies respond to exercise, and how to make a difference in the quality of life for all people. You'll teach people to use exercise as an intervention to improve health and fitness. The course is integrated with health, fitness and sporting agencies within the community. This gives you a variety of options for work placement as part of your study program. Delivered on campus in the Northern Territory and external delivery mode, you'll study the general principles of health and physical performance, specialising in tropical hot and humid conditions.
