Charles Darwin University (CDU), College of Health and Human Sciences, and our partners, invite you to attend Better Health Futures: Building a Rural and Remote Health Workforce in the NT. The Symposium will highlight the difficulties and the potential solutions to building an effective rural and remote workforce in, and for, the Territory.
This symposium is hosted by CDU in partnership with: AMSANT, Central Australian Aboriginal Congress (Congress), Menzies School of Health Research and the local NT health service.
We have engaged with key Aboriginal peak bodies, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services, professional bodies, local and national politicians and Federal Government officials (e.g. National Rural Health Commissioner) and other relevant organisations (e.g. National Rural Health Alliance) all of whom have agreed to contribute to the symposium.
Bringing together the NT’s rural and remote health workforce experts to share their collective expertise and experience, the Symposium will set out the challenges faced by the rural and remote health workforce. Speakers will showcase the evidence and research and present case studies.Panel sessions will be an opportunity to hear innovative ideas, discuss potential solutions, consider where responsibilities lie, including what the role of CDU is, in achieving better health futures for Territorians.
