Hello!! My name is Adson, and I'm currently enrolled in my final year of Bachelor of Engineering at CDU. Having once been a first-year student, I truly appreciate the guidance and support from CDU's staff and senior student, which played an important role through my academic and personal growth. I understand how challenging and overwhelming this journey can be at different times. I'm in my final year final year and I'm enthusiastic about providing the same level of support to new student and help you navigate through your studies with confidence. 

Hi, I’m Chara, a Bachelor of Midwifery student from Western Australia. Before undertaking further study, I worked as a teacher both internationally and here in Australia, and I hope to continue to utilise my teaching experience as a peer advisor. I look forward to meeting and supporting other CDU students with their studies this semester

Hi, my name is Dan. I am in my third year of the Bachelor of Health Science/Master of Occupational Therapy. My passions include rock climbing and travel, although I have yet to combine the two. I live in beautiful Hobart. My motivation for studying has been to have a positive impact on people's lives. In my study so far, I have had many unasked questions. I aim to be someone you can ask. And in doing so, support your academic journey.  

Hi, I’m Dekoda, a cardiac nurse working in acute care with a passion for pharmacology and high-quality practice. I’m currently studying at CDU and am excited to support you in building clarity, confidence, and momentum in your studies.

Hi, my name is Elle. I am a third-year Midwifery student studying externally with CDU. As I have nearly completed my degree, I understand the challenges associated with studying, particularly when it comes to studying externally and balancing this with work and other life responsibilities. My goal as a peer advisor is to facilitate a safe space for students to consolidate knowledge, and to support and guide students through challenges that may arise. 

Hi everyone 😊 My name is Emma and I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Speech and Language Therapy at CDU. In 2023, I returned to university part-time as a mature-aged student while balancing work, caring for a toddler, and living in remote NT. Because of this experience, I understand the challenges of university life and the value of having a strong support network to achieve success. I look forward to being part of your support network and academic toolkit, helping you achieve success in your studies.

Hi, I'm Jenny! I am currently studying a Bachelor of Law at Charles Darwin University. Alongside my law studies, I work as a school teacher, which developed my passion for supporting others in their learning. As a Peer Advisor, I am happy to help students navigate course resources, understand challenging legal concepts and develop effective study strategies. I am very excited to offer guidance, answer questions and help you stay motivated throughout your university journey!

Hello, I'm Kelly, a final‑year Medical Laboratory Science Honours student at CDU. Starting or returning to university can feel like a lot, but you don't have to navigate through it alone. Whether you're looking for help with your studies, want to understand what support services are available, or just need someone to talk to when uni life gets overwhelming, I’m here to help. Hello! I’m Michael and I’m thrilled to be a part of the CDU Peer Advisors team.  I have studied at CDU for several years now across law, education and arts disciplines.  A key area of focus for me has been Indonesian language.  I come to my current studies as a mature-age student with a background in business, consulting and advisory roles. I’m also a dad and stepdad to four awesome teenagers who are an inspiration and often cause  perspiration at the same time!  I love supporting students as a Peer Advisor, sharing our learning journey together – and hopefully helping you to succeed in your studies.

Like many students, I have experienced the challenges of balancing university and other commitments, and I have learned how valuable it is to ask for support and stay connected.
