Hello!! My name is Adson, and I'm currently enrolled in my final year of Bachelor of Engineering at CDU. Having once been a first-year student, I truly appreciate the guidance and support from CDU's staff and senior student, which played an important role through my academic and personal growth. Having been in your shoes, I understand how challenging and overwhelming this journey can be at different times. And now that I've I reach my final year of degree, I'm enthusiastic about providing the same level of support to new student and help you navigate through your studies with confidence. My goal is to build a supportive and engaging environment in which we can learn from each other, work through challenges and achieve our                             goals together. Hi, I’m Chara, a Bachelor of Midwifery student from Western Australia. Before undertaking further study, I worked as a teacher both internationally and here in Australia, and I hope to continue to utilise my teaching experience as a peer advisor. I look forward to meeting and supporting other CDU students with their studies this semester.

Hi everyone 😊 My name is Emma and I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Speech and Language Therapy at CDU. In 2023, I returned to university part-time as a mature-aged student while balancing work, caring for a toddler, and living in remote NT. Because of this experience, I understand the challenges of university life and the value of having a strong support network to achieve success This semester I will be your Peer Advisor for HSC132: Introduction to Health Promotion, a unit I thoroughly enjoyed. I look forward to being part of your support network and academic toolkit, helping you achieve success not only in this unit but also in your future studies.

Hi everyone! I’m Erin, a mature aged student who is changing careers from secondary teaching to Occupational Therapy. I juggle teaching, parenting, and studying online – so I know how tough it can be sometimes! I’m honoured to be helping students from PSY150 this semester; a unit I really enjoyed and I hope you will too! I look forward to meeting you all.

I am currently living in Cairns, QLD, but have spent the last few years living and travelling around Australia. I work in both healthcare and dental and am excited to complete my Bachelor before hopefully following a rural nursing pathway. My long-term goals are to work all over the country in a variety of different settings, as well as become involved in humanitarian work locally and abroad. I’m really looking forward to studying with everyone this semester and not only share any knowledge I have acquired from my all of my previous studies, work and life experience, but also to learn from you too!"

Hi, my name is Kellie and I am currently in my third year of studying a Bachelor of Environmental Science at Charles Darwin University. Growing up in a small coastal town, I have always been passionate about the environment and so I am very grateful to have this opportunity to develop that passion with great, like-minded educators and peers. As a Peer Advisor, I am very excited to encourage, guide and support my peers through their own academic journeys. 

Hello, I'm Kelly, a final‑year Medical Laboratory Science Honours student at CDU. Starting or returning to university can feel like a lot, but you don't have to navigate through it alone. Whether you're looking for help with your studies, want to understand what support services are available, or just need someone to talk to when uni life gets overwhelming, I’m here to help. I look forward to studying with you this semester.

My name is Marina and I am so excited to be a part of your journey. I am studying a Bachelor of Business majoring in project management at CDU currently, finishing at the end of this year. I am passionate about creating networks and connecting people, and facilitating positive and open learning environments. In my spare time I like to go for walks, do puzzles and spend time with my animals... oh and partner! Hi! I'm Max. I'm a mature age student undertaking a Batchelor of Arts at CDU. I am majoring in Australian Indigenous Knowledges alongside my visual arts studies and practice at Casuarina Campus. Originally from Victoria, I have been living in Darwin and Katherine for 6 years. I love music, hiking, cooking and spending time with friends. I'm looking forward to this year as a Peer Advisor. Hello! I’m Michael and I’m thrilled to be a part of the CDU Peer Advisors team.  I have studied at CDU for several years now across law, education and arts disciplines.  A key area of focus for me has been Indonesian language.  I come to my current studies as a mature-age student with a background in business, consulting and advisory roles. I’m also a dad and stepdad to four awesome teenagers who are an inspiration and often cause  perspiration at the same time!  I love supporting students as a Peer Advisor, sharing our learning journey together – and hopefully helping you to succeed in your studies. 

Hi, I’m Meg, a Social Work student at CDU, based in the Pilbara, WA. As well as studying, I work in community development and service delivery, leading a team in supporting vulnerable community members. I’m passionate about continuous learning, social justice, and helping students feel confident and connected in their studies. I look forward to meeting and supporting you this semester! 

Hey, I’m Raya! I’m based in the Adelaide Hills where I live with my partner and our cats and dog. I’m studying Secondary Education with the aim of becoming an English teacher. When I’m not studying, you’ll usually find me paddleboarding along the Murray River or enjoying a day at the beach. I’m really looking forward to getting to know everyone and working together in a friendly and positive space this semester!

Hi, there! I’m Tausif, a second-year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering at CDU. I’m excited to be your Peer Advisor for this semester. I’m very grateful for the continuous support I’ve received from all CDU staff and fellow students alike, and now, I plan to do the same for students going through similar challenges. As someone who genuinely enjoys helping others, I am committed to creating a supportive learning environment, while encouraging academic and personal growth. Having worked with students before, my experience allows me to break down complex concepts in ways that are easy to grasp, while making the learning process fun.
