Manburrba: our story of printed cloth from Bábbarra Women’s Centre celebrates the creative journey undertaken by Maningrida women over the past 37 years, featuring more than 70 striking and colourful hand-printed textiles made by 24 artists, as well as limited edition prints-on-paper, sculptures and basketry. 

It is the first major survey exhibition of Bábbarra’s textile printmaking to be held in the Northern Territory.

Ranger trainees from across the Top End have become certified through the 'Ranger Ready' program, combining traditional knowledge with conservation training.

Developed in coordination with local ranger groups and the Northern Land Council, the program hosted around 150 participants this year, most of whom are First Nations people from remote communities.

CDU TAFE Lecturer Jacqui Paine was the lead coordinator for the two-week intensive in Kakadu National Park.

With the sport of axe throwing growing and elite competition booming, a Charles Darwin University (CDU) sports scientist is looking at how the three most common throwing techniques impact the body.

The two-handed overhead technique for throwing axes has the most explosive impact on the body compared to the single-hand underhand or overhand methods, according to the study.

Charles Darwin University (CDU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with North South University (NSU) to strengthen collaboration on academic and research activities between Northern Australia and Bangladesh.

Signed at the Sustainable Leadership in Higher Education Symposium in Dhaka, the MoU aims to establish a framework for cooperation between the two institutions to promote educational opportunities, research outcomes, and exchange programs for students and staff.
