Presentation skills for the conference

CDU Art Gallery is proud to present the Gurindji freedom banners in partnership with Karungkarni Arts and Culture from 20 April until 15 July 2023. The banners retell the story of the historic Wave Hill Walk-off in 1966. The 10 iconic banners on display tell the Gurindji account of the ‘walk-off’, which was led by Vincent Jurlama Lingiari AM with Gurindji, Ngarinyman, Mudburra, Bilinara and Warlpiri workers from Wave Hill Station, located in the Victoria River District on the northern edge of the Tanami Desert.

Cassowaries continue to be one of nature’s most critical gardeners, with a new study into seed dispersal through their scats reaffirming their role in the ecological function of pockets of remnant rainforests.

The study led by Charles Darwin University (CDU) explored whether the southern cassowary remains important to native seed dispersal in areas where tropical rainforests are highly fragmented and exotic fruits are abundant.

Students from across the Northern Territory will have the chance to learn the ins and outs of the NT drone industry after a Charles Darwin University (CDU) program received Federal Government funding.

The CDU Drone program was awarded $99,020 through The Maker Projects: Community STEM Engagement Grants 2022.
