Overview
This two-day intensive course equips participants with classical photography foundations and AI image generation skills. Day 1 covers exposure control, composition, lighting, and editing workflows. Day 2 applies photographic expertise to AI image generation, content authenticity verification, digital forensics, and ethical considerations including Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP).
The course is built on the Amplification Principle: AI does not replace expertise, it amplifies it. Photographers who understand light, composition, and visual storytelling produce AI imagery that stands apart from generic output.
Learning Focus:
Participants will apply photography and AI skills in professional communications, marketing, education, and personal creative contexts. They will be able to create authentic visual content, verify image authenticity, and navigate ethical considerations when working with AI-generated imagery in the Northern Territory context.
